Summer Learning Journey Week 2 Day 2

Activity 1: Weaving a Tall Tale…[4 points]
On your blog, tell us whether or not you would like to try flax weaving. Does it interest you? Why or why not?
I would like to try flax weaving because you can use your creativity to create things for people. It is interesting because people can see how creative you are and also you can make a lot of cool things.

Activity 2: Mighty Mangroves [4 points]

On your blog, tell us about this person. Who are they? Why are they, in your opinion, so strong and tough?

Whis - This is my strong character and he is an angel from an anime called Dragon Ball Super. He is very strong because the God of destruction in universe 7 was destroying planets because he ate wasabi and Whis warned him after that he was flying around because of how hot it was and he was destroying the planets so Whis came and karate chopped his neck and the God of destruction got knocked out.

Activity 3: Stranger than Fiction [10 points + 5 possible points]
On your blog, list three similarities and three differences between the two plants that you chose. To earn five extra bonus points, post a picture of both plants on your blog.

  1. Hey Christopher

I've been having a great time catching up on all of your blog posts. Well done for finishing all the activities! Remember that you can pick up bonus points by leaving comments on the posts of other Summer Learning Journey bloggers.

Flax weaving is a very fun activity. If you were to give it a try, what do you think you would want to weave? I love flax mats.

Whis is pretty cool. I like that he is not traditionally 'strong' with lots of muscles but he is fast, cleaver and highly skilled. Is Dragon Ball you favourite Anime series?

I like the pictures of the corpse flower and the rafflesia arnoldii that you picked. Did you manage to find three similarities and three differences between them? I can't see them anywhere on you blog. You need to have both the pictures and the facts to get all 15 marks. Let me know when you have added them and I'll update your score.

    Ngā mihi,
    Izzy

  2. Hi Christopher,
Great job completing this activity. I liked the plants you chose, they have very interesting names. I would like to learn some facts about them too. I can remember one fact about the corpse flower, and that is that the reason it is called that is because of the awful smell it lets out. Would you want to keep one if it smelled really bad?
