HAPPY ST PATRICKS DAY! Today I have written new things I have discovered about St Patrick.

Science || Omaru creek

These are the things I learned during the science program about Omaru creek.

Welcoming ceremony

As the guests arrived it felt like the day was holding its breath because it went dead silent. 
As we began our prayer I was nervous because I had a part in the ceremony. When it was my turn to
speak I felt relaxed and ready. As I read my first line I felt relieved because I was at the perfect volume
and I was reading perfectly. 

Then there were the welcomings. The welcomings were like music to your ears. They were going
perfect until Josaia messed up. Even though he failed and kept on going. Just like when you fall you
get back up again. Everything was going great.

When we sang “Mo Maria” it was like you were in Heaven. I also felt surprised when one of the
principals came from the other St Pius X school. One of the most surprising things was that they
came from different parts of New Zealand. I thought they were all from Auckland but I was wrong.

This was one of St Pius X’s most exciting day of 2020 because all of the catholic principals were
very impressed with our learning and our new school building.

Ki-o-rahi

RING! The bell goes as I get ready for Ki-o-Rahi. As I got in my team I was determined to defeat the
other team. As I got in the middle I was ready to block all their shots. As they were firing shots at us
I felt like LeBron James blocking everyone. Lukas and I were the best blockers ever we were like Kobe
Bryant and Shaquille O’Neal dominating everyone.

But when we were the one stopping them from running we were all dominating them. We were like the
All blacks dominating every team we verse. But then they were improving and they were good at
blocking but unlike Lukas and me, they weren’t blocking every shot. 

But then the next time we switched over I wasn’t a blocker anymore. But the blockers were
almost as good as us but they weren’t. They were like LeBron James and Kyrie Irving who
sometimes doesn’t communicate. As I was got to the first checkpoint I stopped for some water
when I got out. Even though the golden child came I still wasn’t saved.

Luckily, the All blacks and I still demolished the other team and got the victory.
