What do you think about this rule? Is it fair that people are charged up to $100 000 for overfishing? On your blog, tell us what you think about this rule and why you think it!.
I think that rule is fine because If people overfish then there will be less fish. Also, other people might want to fish as well and there will be no fish for them so they can fish as well.
Activity 2: The Black Drain [4 points]
On your blog, tell us:
1) The names of the rivers.
2) The location of the rivers.
3) What is being done to clean up the rivers (if anything).
The name of the river is Omaru Creek. It is located in Glen Innes in Omaru Lane. I don't know what they are doing to clean the lake and I know is that it is polluted.
Activity 3: Faded Glory [5 points]
On your blog, list three different ideas or strategies for raising funds to preserve the Great Barrier Reef. What could you do to fundraise here in New Zealand?

2. I would send more food for the animals at the great barrier reef.
3. I would send more sea plants to the great barrier reef
Hello Christopher
ReplyDeleteMy name is Daniel and I am part of the Summer Learning Journey program. Well done on completing all of day 5 of week 2! I kind of disagree with you - I think that if people overfish they should just be made to put the fish back/get banned from fishing in that area because $100,000 is a lot of money and most people wouldn't be able to pay off a fine that big. Even half that amount would mean months of saving and working overtime to pay that off. Also, hopefully something will be done to clean up the polluted Omaru Creek. Keep up the amazing work Christopher - I hope to see some more blog posts from you soon!
Daniel
Hi Christopher,
ReplyDeleteGreat job completing this activity. That lake looks really bad, imagine whats floating around inside of it! They would probably need to drain the entire thing and then replace it. Would you ever stand in it?
