Summer Learning Journey Week 2 Day 3

Activity 1: Night Owls [4 points]

On your blog, tell us whether you are a night owl or an early riser. Then, tell us about the rest of your family. Are they the same as you?.
I am a night owl and an early riser because I stay up late until 1, 2 or 3 am. But I still wake up early but sometimes I wake up late. But the rest of my family are night owl's.

Activity 2: A Local Delicacy [4 points]
On your blog, share a list of the ingredients that you need to make this food. You must type out the list of ingredients yourself (and not simply copy and paste it from a website) to earn full points.

My favourite food is Pizza
How to make Pizza:
  • 1. In a large bowl, dissolve yeast and sugar in water; let stand for 5 minutes. Add oil and salt. Stir in flour, a cup at a time, until a soft dough forms.
  • 2. Turn onto floured surface; knead until smooth and elastic, about 2-3 minutes. Place in a greased bowl, turning once to grease the top. Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 45 minutes. Meanwhile, cook beef and onion over medium heat until no longer pink; drain.
  • 3. Punch down dough; divide in half. Press each into a greased 12-in. pizza pan. Combine the tomato sauce, oregano and basil; spread over each crust. Top with beef mixture, green pepper and cheese.
  • 4. Bake at 400° for 25-30 minutes or until crust is lightly browned.
  • Activity 3: The Midnight Zone [10 points]
On your blog, tell us how you will solve this maths problem. You can write your answer in words, use a Sketchpad image or post a video explaining how you would figure it out. Be sure to give us your final answer.
25x20=500 So it takes 20 adults.

  1. Hiya Christopher,

Nice job on completing a whole day's work! For the 'Night Owls' section, I see you're a bit in between - the second student I've seen that's in between, that's pretty cool. Always a good idea to be an early riser in some cases - like for school! Truly helps :D

For the "A Local Delicacy" section - I like pizza, too :D that's a pretty detailed method on how to make one, do you make pizza using this method? Gotta say, it takes a whole less money out of your pocket when you have the ingredients at home :)

Always be sure to add the context from the question so that the reader gets a clear understanding on what the activity is about.

Otherwise, great work! Keep it up :D

  2. Hi Christopher,
Great job completing this activity. Since you are the only early riser you must have a lot of time to yourself right? Is that when you play Fortnite with your friends? I also like how simplistic your pizza is, even though it doesn't contain that many ingredients, it still looks very delicious
