My Basic Facts Test

Learning Goal : I am testing how quickly I can

remember my Basic Facts.

I need to remember my Basic Facts because

they are the knowledge I need to help me with

strategies to solve Maths problems.

My result on Monday is 26/40 and my result for Friday is 28/40 I am getting better because I have practised on sheet and I am more focused on what I am doing . The columns I need help with is Fraction size , Percentages fractions and Decimals , Factors Multiples .

My typing Test

quicker and more accurate.

Success criteria : This will help me finish my work faster.

My WPM for Monday is 75 and my WPM for Friday is 66 . I am not getting better because I am not concentrating on my work and because I am not focused enough .

My Silent Reading

I have read from page 101 - 119 and this is what happens.
Jake get a piece of paper out of his pocket and it is the map for Red beard's treasure so they go hunting for the treasure when they were very close to the treasure Jake got a compass out of his pocket and then they started walking to the X on the map . Then they started digging with their hands and then they found the treasure but then Red beard said that the treasure doesn't belong to Boris . Then they went and Bill saw Jake and then they hugged and then they said that the treasure doesn't belong to Red beard so Boris and Red beard were going to fight .

My Silent Reading

I have read from page 85 -101 and this is what happens .
Jake was looking around in Red beards cabin and he saw a razor with pieces of hair then he found hair dye black beetle . Then he got caught by Saggers and then he had to walk the plank and then he met a good pirate who steals from the rich and gives to the poor and he would get a lot of money if he joined the crew so he did .

I have read from page 56-69 and this is what happened



Bill told Jake stories about Red beard . On one of Bills stories he said that his dad was taken from Red beard and he was never seen again . After that Jake asked what happened to the treasure and Bill said that Red beard buried his because his ship was sinking but when he came up his ship was already under the sea . Then Bill said that no one knows what happen . Then they went to sleep and when they had went to sleep there was a storm and Pip fell on the floor . After that they had to save Flounder the ship . When they were saving the ship Jake had to climb a tall wooden thing and it was slippery and when he was climbing he kept on climbing because if he went down his crew mates would of died.

 I have read from  page 35-48 and this is what happen .

Jake Jellicoe went to the captain . When the  captain met Jake he was asking him questions what he said "was  are you strong , are you fast" but  the captain didn't think he was strong because he was skinny . Then the captain said he has to read the rules and on one of the rules it said if any man stole from the captain or from the pirate crew they would be drowned in the water and be shot with a pistol . Then it said you have to eat one pound of bread or biscuits and one pound of beef . He said that it was more than his family ate in a year . Then he had to meet Saggers , Saggers was the person in charge when the captain wasn't there . After that he went and met the crew . Then the Captain made an announcement he said that they were going to look for the lost treasure of the Dread pirate Red beard.

My WPM for Monday is 70 and my WPM for Friday is 70 but my CPM from Friday is higher than Monday CPM . I am getting better because I have practised my typing on typing.com and because I was practising my spelling .

 I have read page 12 - 29 and this is what happen .
Jake Jellicoe's grandpa gave him a gold coin that his grandpa saved for emergencies but he said that Jake needs it more . So he started walking to his destination . Where he went was a very dangerous place thats what his Mum said and when he got there the floor was dirty but he slept on the floor in front of the undertakers house . When he was sleeping a woman came and told him to go and sleep some where else but when he went the shops were opening . Then he saw the most fantastic shop ever it had cake and all kind of yummy deserts.

Jake Jellicoe asked why his pa is crying and his Mum said that she is having a new baby . She said that she is going to sell one of her babies . But the Grandpa said no and Jake Jellicoe said that he will sneak out and grab everything he needs but he didn't tell anyone . When he was sneaking out his grandpa caught him and asked what is he doing and he said promised not to tell anyone that he is running away until he finds his fortune and the Grandpa said if he wasn't old he would've went with him but he didn't.

George and Harold was in the brown fog but their nose was blocked so they couldn't smell anything . So they back in time and met their future selves they were super excited and they met Georges future wife and Harold's future husband .

Mr Meaner used the gas thing on all the children at the school he was at and they did everything they were listening . They helped the teachers so George and Harold went and disguised and saw everything.
